Question
I have a friend who is very sweet and optimistic. The problem is that she isn't really self confident like my other friends are. I wanna give her a makeover, but there is so much to do! She has: *very curly red hair *braces *a little bit of acne (wears no makeup) *thick eyebrows *wears Star Wars tee shirts with jeans *no accessories She actually does have a pretty face, she just doesn't know how to work with her clothes/ hair ect. What should I do?!
Answer
Hahahah wow, it totally sounds like those cheesy girly movies.... For her hair, just give her easy tips to style it so she can start simple but still look good. i.e. pony tail w/ bangs, half pony tail, claw clip all of it or the upper half of it up, or you could straighten it to see what it'd look like...? Braces...nothing either of you can really do about that.... Acne. To get rid of it, tell her to wash her face with face wash/scrub (not regular soap!!) every morning and every night, and before she goes to bed, spray some disinfectant (Bactine or Neosporin) on the acne-ridden areas to kill the bacteria, and if she can afford it, put a little of the Clearasil 4 hour acne/spot size/redness remover cream on the pimples every night. Its not too much of a hassle, but in the end, clear skin is always worth it :D If she has acne scars, Mederma is a miracle worker. The smallest tube is about $14 at Target or Walmart. Makeup. Just for starters, try her on a basic mineral concealer/cover up and eyeliner or mascara. Try to teach her how to put it on herself. Even let her try on you maybe? O_O Thick Eyebrows...You can always try tweezing it for her, but I would recommend spending as little as 12-15 bucks on just waxing it. Make sure that if she waxes it, always go with the natural shape of her brow, never get those insane thin ones >_< If she decides to wax, then when it starts to grow back, teach her how to tweeze and maintain her bush-man brows ;) Star Wars Tees probably equals either a tomboyish thing, or just a girl w/ no sense of fasion. Take her shopping and look for bargains. See what she likes. I can't really tell you much about that seeing as I don't know what kind of person she is, but try all types of clothes, like skinny jeans, bubble shirts, cute v-necks (even tees), shorts, plaid skirts, casual/formal kind of outifts, you and her will have to decide. Just buy simple accessories like a couple necklaces or bracelets that can go with almost any outfit. Hope I helped :) Good luck.
